TR40 TERRA Soft Adventure Luggage

 After the great success of its TERRA aluminium cases, the company increases its range with the first SHAD’s adventure saddlebags: the new TR40. These bags have been designed for those riders who want to go one step forward on their off-road adventures, taking advantage of the flexibility and lightweight offered by the new textile solutions.

Unique system

This set of saddlebags stands out for its “Double Locking System” which locks the bag to the 4P System fitting and prevents, at same time, the access to the inside of the bag. Its unique system (patent pending) makes the new TR40 as an alternative to traditional aluminium cases. The adventure side fitting 4P integrates with the bag with a high resistant plate made from polyamide, reinforced with glass fibre, being light and resistant to adapt itself to off-road demanding rides and being able to transport until 10 kg per bag, without any problem concerning its durability.

Resistance and waterproofness

To ensure its durability, the TR40 has been made from high abrasion resistant material (50 cycles according to UNE-EN ISO 12947-2:2017 standard). Its base and sides are reinforced with a 70% TPU and 30% Nylon material and they have also stitches in Z for a better resistance in critical zones. Its fabrics has been tested to offer a resistance of more than 1,500 hours UV exposure and they compliant with the environmental regulations REACH and OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

The combination of the outer and inner bags ensures the waterproofness of the set. At the same time, thinking about off-road riding, each outer bag includes a draining hole in their bases.

In addition of ensuring a sport riding in off-road, thanks to its low weight, the saddlebags TR40 allow to adjust their volume of 32l (per bag) to the load thanks to their 6 DURAFLEX cambuckles. At the same time, all the strap ends have closures to prevent flapping and loose ends. All these functionalities guarantee a better integration to the bike and a major stability when driving. The buckles of the outer bag, which fit and block the saddlebags, has been made from an aircraft grade aluminium which stands out for its lightweight and resistance. To increase the security when driving, the new SHAD saddlebags include side reflective elements.

Included accessories

Its 8 reinforced tiedown spots MOLLE System (per bag) allow to attach extra luggage accessories, like as dry bag or the fuel bottle harness included.

The new TR40 are already available for more than 50 Trail bike models and SHAD is developing more fittings for more models. On SHAD’s website it is indicated all the compatibilities with the side fittings 4P System.
